Push-Button Operation: Seal or Vac/Seal
The V2244 vacuum sealing system's straightforward design makes it easy to remove air from specially designed FoodSaver bags. Simply add food to the FoodSaver bag (starter kit includes 5 pre-cut heat-seal bags and 1 heat-seal roll), place the filled bag into the vacuum sealing channel, and close the easy-lock latch. Next, select either Seal or Vac/Seal from the push-button control panel, and the machine takes care of the rest: vacuuming, sealing, and shutting off automatically. The system with its air-tight heat seal not only takes all the air out--it keeps it out.
Accessory Port & Hose
For added versatility and convenience, the V2244 vacuum sealing system comes equipped with an accessory hose port, which makes it possible to remove all the air from FoodSaver containers (not included) and seal them air-tight. An attachable accessory hose for this purpose comes included. In addition to vacuum sealing canisters, the accessory port and hose can also be used to marinate food in minutes (instead of hours like with other methods).

The V2244 vacuum sealing system's seal button can be used to prevent crushing of delicate food items--simply press the button before the vacuum cycle shuts off automatically. The system also provides a double-wide sealing strip that applies heat, helping to ensure a secure, air-tight seal every time.
